Associate Director

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a sharp, strategic thinker who knows how to turn insight into impact. Someone who loves uncovering what drives culture, brands, and people—and can translate that into bold, commercially smart strategies that help clients grow.

You’ll have solid experience leading strategic projects, working with cultural and human insights, and turning data into clear, commercially smart recommendations. You’ll be just as comfortable digging into the details as you are zooming out to see the bigger picture. Building strong relationships with clients will come naturally to you, and you’ll know how to guide them from insight to impact with confidence and clarity.

Founded in 2017 by Charles & Mark, G=mc2 is a growth studio on a mission to revolutionise the way brands & businesses approach insight, marketing, and brand development to unlock growth. Spanning London to South Africa and Hyderabad, we help all kinds of brands (beauty, health insurance, you name it) to see and achieve tangible growth. Our secret sauce? An in-house system of machine learning tools that decode the ever-changing world of culture, people's lives, and the future, transforming our clients into market makers.

What you’ll do

Here’s a snap shot of what the role will look like:

  • Leading brand innovation and growth strategy projects, guiding them from insight to execution.

  • Building compelling, commercial narratives that turn complex data into simple, high-impact stories.

  • Developing and managing strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor beyond individual projects.

  • Managing and mentoring junior team members, setting best practices, and fostering their growth.

  • Collaborating closely with the leadership team to shape our offers and contribute to new business efforts.

  • Helping us push the boundaries of how we use foresight, cultural insight, and AI-powered tools to drive brand growth.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We’re looking for someone who ticks most of these boxes:

  • At least 6 years of experience in brand strategy and consultancy, with a strong understanding of what drives business growth.

  • A proven ability to build and manage client relationships, acting as a trusted partner beyond day-to-day project work.

  • Experience using foresight, cultural, and human insight methodologies to shape compelling brand and business strategies.

  • Confidence in leading teams through trend analysis, cultural insights, and innovation strategies, integrating multiple data sources (including category and brand performance).

  • The ability to craft powerful growth narratives, making strategic recommendations that are highly relevant to a client’s business.

  • Experience overseeing multiple projects, coaching junior talent, and effectively managing stakeholders at all levels.

  • A visual eye and a knack for turning complex data into clear, engaging, and actionable insights.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience working with machine learning, AI-powered insights, or other data-driven tools.
